SUSTAINABILITY
We Take Responsibility
Our shared objective is to position GEDA Labels more sustainably—for example, by expanding our range of reusable and recyclable products that meet ecological standards and are certified accordingly by independent testing organizations. Together with our business partners, we strive to design our production and supply chains to be as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible.
GEDA Labels operates responsibly and is committed to the careful use of resources. In 2022, our site in Hildesheim was certified as climate-neutral by the ECOnsulting agency Kosmogrün. We make compensation payments that support climate protection projects in Somalia and Cambodia. Through these initiatives, 88 tons of CO₂ emissions have been saved. Climate and Environmental Protection Projects
We support two Gold Standard projects in Somalia and Cambodia that improve the lives of local communities and contribute to climate protection.
Clean Water, Cambodia
In the “Clean and Healthy Water for Cambodia” program, families are provided with water filters to ensure access to safe drinking water without having to boil it. This saves time, reduces the need for firewood, and helps conserve natural resources.
Clean Cooking in Somalia
The social enterprise BURN provides families in Somalia with access to biogas stoves, greatly easing their daily lives. Somalia’s population is among the most vulnerable in the world: three out of four people live below the poverty line, and inefficient cooking stoves are not only costly but also pose serious health risks.

Safe & Tested
Our products are tested by independent institutions such as TÜV, SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS GmbH, Eurofins and Bureau Veritas. In addition, all our products are BPA-free.
Fair – BSCI, SEDEX, FAMA, DISNEY
Compliance with and continuous monitoring of social and labor standards in our factories by independent institutes, organizations, and partners.
Sustainable
By using our products multiple times, resources are conserved.
Environmentally Conscious
All new products are packaged without plastic.
FSC
All new product packaging is FSC certified. The raw materials come from forests managed according to ecological and social criteria. This means that every stage of the product chain, from the forestry operations to the final processing step, is certified according to FSC standards.
GEDA Labels is a member of the LIMA association and holds a BSCI supplier audit certification.
